Metabolism Testing

Eating too much or too little can impact your athletic performance. By measuring your resting metabolic rate (how much you burn at rest) you will know exactly how much fuel your body needs to optimize your training regimen, thereby, achieving your performance goals!

MedGEM Testing

The MedGem uses indirect calorimetry in measuring resting metabolic rate (RMR; how many calories you burn at rest). A small hand-held device with a mouthpiece, the test is performed by simply breathing into the device for 5-10 minutes. The MedGem accurately determines RMR by measuring oxygen consumption (VO2) to carbon dioxide (CO2) gas exchange. This information is then used to determine your calorie needs depending on weight loss/gain, body composition and performance goals.
